Tuesday's Tune(s)

This song has been running through my mind and heart today. It seems especially appropriate in light of all the craziness going on in our country. I look at our political climate and the presidential hopefuls ... and well, it all just scares me. Then you have the truth about the ugliness and utter depravity of abortion exposed but of course the corporation that profits from this will not be dealt with. And please know I am not attacking the women who have had abortions. I love them and hurt for them even if they don't hurt for themselves.

Personally, there are days when I just want answers but I am met with silence. Frustrations pile up. Stress level rises or is surpassed. I am overwhelmed and just over it all. Those are the days I have to dig in even deeper into my faith and chose to stand on what I know to be true. I am thankful that on a day like today this is the song that is running through my heart.

"Lord, I Believe In You"
Though I can't see
Your holy face
And Your throne in Heaven above
It seems so far away
Though I can't touch
Your nail scarred hands
I have a deep and unspeakable joy
That makes my faith to stand
Lord, I believe in You
I'll always believe in You
Though I can't see You with my eyes
Deep in my heart, Your presence I find
Lord, I believe in You
And I'll keep my trust in You
Let the whole world say what they may
No one can take this joy away, Lord, I believe
Born from above
You are Gods only chosen one
You're the one and only true way
To the Fathers heart
You died for all sin
Then You rose and now live again
Conquering death and the grave
So that I might live
Lord, I believe in You
I'll always believe in You
Though I cant see You with my eyes
Deep in my heart, Your presence I find
Lord, I believe in You
And I'll keep my trust in You
Let the whole world say what they may
No one can take this joy away, Lord, I believe
I also love that the man, Tommy Walker, who wrote this song wrote another favorite of mine which is also perfect on a rainy day like today.

"We Will Remember"

We will remember, we will remember
We will remember the works of Your hands
We will stop and give you praise
For great is Thy faithfulness

You're our creator, our life sustainer
Deliverer, our comfort, our joy
Throughout the ages You've been our shelter
Our peace in the midst of the storm

With signs and wonders You've shown Your power
With precious blood You showed us Your grace
You've been our helper, our liberator
The giver of life with no end

[Chorus]

When we walk through life's darkest valleys
We will look back at all You have done
And we will shout, our God is good
And He is the faithful One

Bridge
Hallelujah, hallelujah
To the one from whom all blessings flow
Hallelujah, hallelujah
To the one whose glory has been shown

[Chorus]

I still remember the day You saved me
The day I heard You call out my name
You said You loved me and would never leave me
And I've never been the same

[Chorus]

Lord, I believe in you and on those days that I am full of doubts help me to remember all that you have brought me through (Lam. 3:22-24), that you have a plan for me (Jer. 29:11) and are working things for my good (Rom. 8:28).

I love you all.

Blessings ...

- Melody Faith
