A Brief Reflection

Well it is safe to say that it has been a while since I have posted on here. Did I promise to be consistent with this blog? :-)

Happy Thanksgiving!  Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!

As we come to the close of this year and head into a fresh year I can't help but to reflect on everything this past year has held for me ... Here's a highlight of the extra special moments:

+ January 26th - The birth of an amazing little boy - my nephew Brantley, a.k.a Mia's "precious baby/boy"
+ December 11th - Dad had a heart attack and 5 stents put in over the coarse of a week but is on the mend (Praise the Lord!)
+ December 2nd - CAK won it's first State Championship in football & I was there to see it all unfold throughout the season
+ October - Went to Williamsburg, VA for the first time ... it was part of the first vacation I have been on in forever - my aunt and uncle joined me and it was glorious
+ All year long - I have been blessed with new friendships and the strengthening of the "old" ones
+ December - I had the privilege of singing in the 2011 Living Christmas Tree which lead to over 1100 people make decisions for the Lord
+ June - Teaching music in VBS to the 1, 2 and 3 years olds (a lesson in patience for sure! Ha.)

There are only a few more days left to 2011 and I plan to enjoy them & to think about some goals for 2012. What do I want to accomplish? What do I want to experience? Where do I want to be a year from now? What is the verse I want to purpose to live by for 2012?

While each year has held so many uncertainties one thing I know for the certain is that 2012 will be the year of great change for me. I will share more (goals & changes) towards the end of this week.

As I seek the Lord's wisdom, guidance and provision like never before please keep me in your prayers!

Love and Blessings ...

- Melody
